Application Process:

Apply Online
A. Go to apply.avela.org/schoolappkc
to complete an application
B. Next, use the link below to find the pre registration form:
https://hlakc.powerschool.com/public/formbuilder/form.html?formid=2574
C. Once your pre registration is approved, you will receive an
enrollment email which contains the information needed to
create a parent portal account that connects to your student’s
account.

Complete Enrollment Forms
Once you’ve created an account in PowerSchool, select the student you are enrolling and click on the “Student Forms” icon in the left navigation menu. It is imperative that all forms are completed by ** August 1, 2026**.

Submit Required Documents
A. Proof of Residency (One form from the options below)
Current utility bill or lease/rental agreement that is dated within the past 30 days. The address must be printed in the “service at” line and cannot read “final bill”
Current Lease/Rental Agreement, Mortgage Statement or Deed
Loan Paperwork
Court Documents
Government Paperwork
B. IEP or 504 plan from previous school (if applicable)
C. Copy of Current Immunization Records
D. Copy of Birth Certificate

MOCAP
Missouri Course Access Program
The Missouri course access and virtual school program offers instruction in a virtual setting using technology, intranet, and/or internet methods of communication. Any student under the age of twenty-one in grades kindergarten through twelve who resides in this state shall be eligible to enroll in the Missouri course access and virtual school program pursuant to subsection 3 of this section.
