“Education is extremely important to our community and serving KC east of Troost Ave is paramount to me!”
“I want every child in Kansas City to get the education and support they need to thrive in our city - being part of the HLA board gives me the opportunity to help our staff, teachers and kids make it happen”
"I believe that every child should have access to high-quality education and I am proud to sit on the board of HLA where they are making that a reality in their neighborhood."”
“I chose to sit on the board at Hope Leadership as a way to help the kids. I was humbled by the love and care shown by the staff towards the kids, and wanted to support them anyway I could.”
“I’m a teacher by profession and spent many of my years teaching in inner city schools. When we began after-school tutoring at the Hope Center, it became very clear that our kids were not being served well academically in their schools. It was a 10-year dream to see HLA come to be, to give the kids in this neighborhood a world-class education and give this community a neighborhood school to serve as a cornerstone of stability. It’s my honor to serve on this board to continue to build on that vision and serve the kids and families of this neighborhood.”
